  • Parkerizing

Parkerizing was developed in the early 1900's and has served the firearms market well since World War II.

Parkerizing is an electrochemical conversion coating that transforms the surface of the metal in phosphate. This phosphate contains pores which retain oil well and help protect the firearm from rust.

    • Note:

Firearms that are made of hard metal or contain higher level of nickel or carbon tend to turn out a dark grey rather than black.
